Minister

Welcome Reverend Chris!

Reverend Chris comes to us from Central United Church in Welland where he has been ministering since July 2008.  Prior to being called to Central he served a 2 point charge in Melita, MB completing his settlement there from July 2005 – June 2008.

Chris received his Master of Divinity in 2005 from Emmanuel College, University of Toronto and also received his Honours Bachelor of Arts (Creative Writing) from York University in 2001.

Some of Chris’s Passions in Ministry are:

  • Recognizing God in the Everyday and mundane and the wonder that comes at reveling in the divine.
  • Leading creative worship: employing a multi sensory approach, appealing to more than just the sights and sounds, aspiring to reach all people and all abilities.
  • Listening for and discerning God’s voice in the stories of our faith, the Bible, literature and the arts, as well as modern culture.
  • We may be the only Christ that people meet, so we must consider well the many ways we might serve our community and world with love.
  • Empowering lay people – realizing that we minister to each other, helping each to find their voice and share their story of faith, inspiring and facilitating opportunities to learn and grow together.
