Greetings fellow travellers on the journey.
We begin our Lenten travels today (Feb. 17) with our Ash Wednesday service. You may want to have some paper or ashes ready, or a marker, or chalk, or whatever you have on hand to help you “remember that you are dust…” for it is in the dust that we find great meaning for today. This pandemic has reminded us how fragile our lives are, how connected we are one to another, and how we need one another. Join with us as we share in Ash Wednesday together with our service found under the ‘Sermons’ tab on the homepage of this website. The service is provided through Youtube, so you can participate whenever you have time available.
Our theme this Lent is ‘Love Builds Up.’ For through God’s love and through our love and compassion extended to one another, our community and world is built up, raising those who are struggling, supporting those in sorrow, giving space for those in grief.
Below you will find a link to a downloadable resource created by thesaltproject.org (with minor modifications). In the pdf are weekly activities for both families and individuals alike that will work as a map as we walk this Lenten path together.
Thank you for continuing to be signs and sources of love in these ever-changing times.
Rev. Chris
