Due to high inflation, the Waterloo Regional Food Bank is straining to meet the basic nutritional needs of a growing number of families within our region. During our initial food drive earlier in 2022 we were able to deliver cheques totaling $1,055, and 200 lb of food to the Food Bank.
Our 2nd food drive for the Food Bank this year is planned to take place from Sunday, September 18th to Thursday, October 13th. Beginning September 18th boxes will be set up within the church at the usual locations to collect food items, and a pickup truck will be parked in the church parking lot on Thursday, October 13th from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. to collect additional food items.
The need is great, so let’s work together to make this a very successful fundraiser!
