Join us on the “Carse (screened) deck”  on Wednesday, August 10 for a potluck supper and movie. Potluck dinner at 6:00 pm (arrive 5:45ish); bbq meat entree will be provided.  Movie at 6:45 pm followed by conversation.

What’s the movie? You will help us decide! After you have read down through this page and watched the movie trailers, there is a large “Sign Up” button at the bottom of this page.

When you sign up, you will:

  • let us know you are coming
  • let us know what you are bringing for the potluck AND
  • vote for the movie you would like to watch.

Here are the 3 movie options:

  1. Hello, My Name is Doris: starring Sally Fields. Comedy. A self-help seminar inspires a sixty-something woman to romantically pursue her younger co-worker.
  2. Still Mine: Drama, true story. An elderly couple fight against local authorities in rural New Brunswick to build their final home.
  3. Grizzly Man: Documentary, true story. Explores the life and death of amateur grizzly bear expert and wildlife reservationist Timothy Treadwell, who lived unarmed among grizzlies for 13 summers.
