We need your help!

We are looking for volunteers to sign up here to take a turn (or 2 or 3) caring for SJR’s lawn. If you have done this before – Thank you and we hope you can help again this year. If you are considering helping with this for the first time and have any questions or concerns, please reach out to [email protected] and we will answer your questions and arrange a time to show you our equipment and how it works.

Below is a link to a schedule that we hope you will sign up on. We like it best when you sign up and work in teams of 2 for safety reasons. However if you just sign up for 1 position then someone else can still sign up for the other position to help you. (Physical distancing should not be an issue as there is lots of grass)

The Task:

It takes up to 3 hours for 2 volunteers to complete the task. Volunteers must be 16 years or older to operate the gas powered equipment. This includes:

• picking up garbage,
• mowing lawn
• trimming
• blowing/sweeping as required. 

The Equipment;

• 2 ride on, gas-powered mowers
• 1 walk behind self propelled, gas mower
• 2 gas string trimmers
• 1 rechargable blower
• several litter pickers
• gas cans (gas provided)
• safety glasses
• ear muffs

What do you need?

• a water bottle and water to stay hydrated
• sun screen
• hat
• fully enclosed shoes (NO sandals)
