Our youth have fun being themselves while exploring the United Church, their faith and social issues in a safe place. We are never alone, and we hope that we can all feel that presence constantly surrounding us. Youth group is such a great place to make lasting friendships and lifelong memories. Our Cooperative Youth Group meets with youth from several other local United Churches. All youth are welcome. |

Christmas Eve Musical
Hello to our Sunday School Friends!
I know it sounds early and you are probably thinking about how you are going to dress up for Halloween but I’d like to talk about Christmas!
This year we are planning a fun musical for the family Christmas Eve Service at 7:00pm called Aaron the Allergic Shepherd. We would love to have as many of you take part as possible.
We will start practicing October 23 – as there will only be nine more Sundays before Christmas! We are asking you to join us at Sunday School each Sunday morning if you would like to be part of this exciting production! We’ll take a short time each week before our lesson to practice with Margaret Shoesmith who has offered to help us.
Additional practices will be Sunday, Dec. 18 from Noon to 2 p.m. and Friday, Dec. 23 from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.
It’s going to be LOTS of FUN!!

Help Olivia Get to Nicaragua!
Roast Beef Dinner – Saturday, November 6, 2010
SJR’s Olivia Curtis is off to Nicaragua during March Break, 2011, with 17 other youth from Waterloo-Wellington Presbytery as part of TCOW (Two Countries One World). The TCOW youth will be helping with a variety of projects in a community that was displaced many years ago. The goal is for each participant to raise $2500 for travel expenses and materials needed for projects such as installing a portable water system, creating a place for a reading program, and restoring the unused health post.
Olivia is co-hosting a beef dinner at Trinity United Church with the Trinity TCOW youth on Sat., Nov. 6, starting at 5 p.m.
She receives a share of the proceeds to help with her fundraising goal so please join her at Trinity on Nov. 6!
